Our story
A family legacy that began in a pastry shop
My name is Susanna Lamia. My father Giuseppe is an entrepreneur from Mazara: in 1989 he founded the pastry shop that bears our family name. I grew up behind that counter, learning that hospitality is something you prepare with your hands.
The idea for La Perla di Mare was born in 2018, out of the same passion for this land. Since 2022 we have been fully open: five independent houses set in a garden of palms and olive trees, with the pool at its heart.
I did not want to build just a place to sleep. I wanted somewhere you could find the slow rhythm of a Sicilian summer — with my homemade sweets waiting for you in the morning.

Where you are
Mazara del Vallo
A seaside town that has spoken two languages for a thousand years. The Casbah with its Arab alleys and blue doors, the canal harbour with its fishing boats, the Dancing Satyr resting in its museum after centuries at the bottom of the Mediterranean. And then the golden beaches, the Norman Arch, and the red prawn — not a tourist speciality here, just Thursday dinner.
